Jahad Rahman, Partner

Jahad Rahman previously worked in the City and at Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners recognised law firm Thompsons. Prior to setting up Rahman Lowe Solicitors, Jahad was Head of the Senior Executive Unit of a West End law firm. Jahad is also a Football Association Registered Lawyer and a Visiting Lecturer on the Employment Law Elective at BPP Law School.

Jahad has significant experience of advising both employers and high-net-worth individuals. His practice encompasses all aspects of contentious and non contentious employment matters. He has successfully handled a number of complex discrimination, equal pay, whistleblowing and contractual claims, including high value bonus disputes. He recently advised a corporate client on restructuring, redundancy and the implications of TUPE.

Jahad’s clients include global financial institutions, luxury brands, professional service firms and high-net-worth individuals. He has advised reputable businesses such as Danone, Elizabeth Arden, Vivienne Westwood Ltd and P&O Ferrymasters on a wide range of employment law matters. He is praised for providing ‘excellent technical advice with a commercial slant’. In the past, he also advised some of the largest trade unions in the UK and he has significant experience of collective employment law, industrial action and multi-party claims.

Sarah Lowe, Partner

Sarah has been practising as a solicitor for over 13 years.  Prior to joining Rahman Lowe Solicitors, Sarah worked at City law firm, Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP, for several years as a Senior Associate. She also previously worked at Thompsons Solicitors.

Sarah has experience of advising both employers and employees, including Government departments such as the DWP.

She has worked on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She has a particular interest in discrimination cases, complex stress at work and harassment claims in the High Court.

Sarah also has experience of dealing with work related personal injury claims. She has dealt with a wide range of high value claims such as industrial disease, RSI and asbestosis claims. Sarah has also advised clients on risk management issues and high value litigation.

In addition, Sarah regularly conducts seminars and presentations for clients.

Zillur Rahman, Solicitor

Zillur is an employment law specialist with extensive experience in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE, contract disputes and collective employment law. He has a wealth of experience of advising employees and senior executives on a wide range of employment matters having worked at one of the UK’s largest employment law firms, Thompsons Solicitors for more than a decade. He regularly acts in complex high value discrimination and whistleblowing claims.

He also has significant experience of negotiating high value settlements and dealing with sensitive reputational risk issues.

Peter Long, Consultant

Peter previously worked for international law firm Taylor Johnson Garrett (now Taylor Wessing), in-house at the Financial Times and in the investment banking division of global bank RBS. He has significant experience of the financial services and the real estate sectors. His in-house experience provides Rahman Lowe with valuable commercial insights.

Peter has a wide portfolio of business clients in the real estate sector, including Berkeley and Barratt Homes. He also advises asset management companies.  Peter has particular expertise in relation to business restructures and corporate transactions.

Peter also contributes his commercial insights to the media and he has been interviewed on BBC London News and Sky News. He regularly comments in a wide variety of national and local papers. He is currently a columnist for a popular Chinese newspaper.

David Tyme, Consultant

David Tyme has been a practicing solicitor for more than twenty years.  He previously worked with Jahad Rahman at leading employment law firm Thompsons Solicitors and he was also a Partner and Head of Employment at City law firm, Webster Dixon LLP.

David has a wealth of employment law experience. He represents both employers and employees in all aspects of employment law, including unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE, whistleblowing and complex discrimination claims.

He also has experience of conducting appeals in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. David regularly advises and represents clients in relation to professional misconduct proceedings before the Health Professions Council, General Social Care Council and other regulatory bodies.

David is an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association and he has assisted in the compilation of submissions in response to proposed employment law reform.
